About Department
The Department of Community Medicine at Army Medical College Rangpur provides training to medical cadets during their 1st and 3rd years of the MBBS program. This course aims to deliver community-focused and need-driven medical education, shaping committed young doctors capable of ensuring universal health coverage through efficient Primary Health Care. In the 1st year, students complete 5 hours of lectures, while the entire course consists of 110 hours of lecture sessions, 160 hours of practical/tutorial classes, 30 days of community-based medical education (COME), and 5 hours of integrated teaching, totaling 275 hours plus 30 days of field experience.
